Barbara Goodwin, MBA, CPCU, ARM has over 20 years experience providing practical and leading-edge risk management consulting services to her clients. In addition to operating a successful consulting business, Barbara is recognized as an excellent public speaker, and an outstanding IEA faculty member. Barbara has recently received a prestigious award for the consistent pass ratio and success of her students in IEA’s ARM 56 (Risk Financing) course.

Instructor Biography

Mission: Barbara is delighted to give back to the industry that has witnessed her many successes by imparting her wisdom to her students.

Included among her most popular workshops are, Alternative Risk Financing, Assessing and Managing Business Risk, Underwriting the Financial Side of Your Risk, and Financial Statement Analysis.

Her career experience includes serving as a Senior Vice President of Wells Fargo Insurance Services, a Principal Owner of Core Pursuit, Inc., and a Senior Director/Sales of INSUREtrust.  Other highlights include serving as a Vice President of the Willis company, Vice President of ABD Insurance, as an Associate Consultant with Tillinghast, and as an Underwriter with Chubb Insurance.

Honors she has received include being named a Power Broker by Risk & Insurance Magazine in the fields of Transportation and Risk & Insurance, acknowledged in Celebrating of the Stars – 2014 competition by Wells Fargo Insurance, and also a Service Excellence Award from Wells Fargo Insurance Services.

Education: Barbara has an MBA Degree in Business from Golden Gate University and was the class commencement speaker at graduation She has B.A. Degree in Psychology from Whitman College.
